Sponsor Spotlight: Lark

July 17, 2011
I’m excited to introduce to you a new friend and shop, Lark:

Lark Farnum’s shop is THE place to go for completely unique and one-of-a-kind items. She creates hand-painted scarves and headbands like these:

Aren’t they gorgeous? I love that no two are exactly alike since Lark does each one individually. She mixes her dyes for each piece and uses no stencils. I find that absolutely amazing. She has serious talent.

A little bit more about the woman behind the work:

Lark (or Pinky as she goes by, since she nicknamed herself at the age of 2) graduated from Bryn Mawr with a degree in art history. She melded her passion for fashion with her art background by creating these unique textiles.

She drinks a glass of chocolate malt Ovaltine every morning. If only I had known that was the key for making such fantastic art.

And Pinky’s favorite things to listen to while creating are “Murder, She Wrote” episodes, “Fresh Air” and “This American Life” podcasts, and The Rolling Stones.

Be sure and visit her shop, Lark, for more examples of her gorgeous work. And use coupon code SHIPTOME for free shipping on your order.

These opinions are my own. I was provided no material compensation for this post.
